We’re Hiring!

Gallery Assistant

In operation for over 38 years, Seymour Art Gallery, located in the village of Deep Cove at the east end of North Vancouver, is a public non-profit society and the only public gallery located in the District of North Vancouver. We acknowledge, with respect, that the Seymour Art Gallery stands on the traditional, unceded territory of the xʷməθkwəy̓əm (Musqueam), Skwxwú7mesh (Squamish), and Selilwitulh (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations.

The exhibition program is the heart of our gallery – all other programs and activities emanate from it. Our annual exhibition schedule brings about seven unique exhibitions to the Gallery. Our aim is to transform the gallery with each exhibition to cultivate a curiosity in our audience. We believe that offering visitors a friendly and welcoming space in which to experience art and culture can open discussion, expand horizons, and challenge perceptions.

We present programs alongside our exhibitions, including artist talks and discussions as well as tours and workshops for schools and youth. Programs can offer visitors an enriching and inspiring viewing experience. Most of our programs are presented to the public free of charge. We have a suite of online video interviews and publications which are created in-house.

Our on-site Gallery Shop offers handmade gifts by local artists, and offers regional artists an important year-round sales venue.

We encourage applications from all qualified candidates and respect the importance of people’s lived experiences. If there is something about you that is not listed in the qualifications that you would like us to know, please share it with us in your resume or cover letter. If you require accommodation or assistance when applying, please contact info(@)seymourartgallery.com.

We encourage applicants to visit our website and review our past exhibitions and programs.
