Poetry in the Gallery

Celebrate National Poetry Month with Trevor Carolan and Henry Young with an afternoon of poetry in the gallery, supported by Canada Council for the Arts. This reading event will include the new “Maplewood Suite” featured in the latest Wingspan Journal of Wild Bird Trust of BC.

Trevor Carolan
Veteran author and performance reader of ecology and travel poems underscored by love of the sacred and the natural world. “Carolan travels as a pilgrim and seeks moments of human grace, sublime landscapes and human habitations crusted with time and history.” – Vancouver Sun

Henry Young
From the Newport, Montreux and the African Jazz Festivals to the Smiling Buddha Cabaret, guitar maestro Henry Young has played alongside many of the world’s jazz and R&B greats including Nina Simone, Ray Charles, and Miles Davis.
